Net International Reserves – June 2025

BOJ has reported that Jamaica’s Net International Reserves as at June 30, 2025, stood at US$5,835.60 million, reflecting an increase of US$36.02 million when compared to the US$5,799.57 million reported at the end of May 2025.

Foreign Assets totalled US$5,864.78 million, US$23.58 million more than the US$5,841.20 million reported in May 2025.

‘Currency & Deposits’ held by the BOJ as at June 30, 2025, totalled US$3,229.48 million, reflecting a decrease of US$296.49 million compared to the US$3,525.97 million reported in May 2025.

‘Securities’ were valued at US$2,365.19 million; US$316.67 million more than the US$2,048.52 million reported at the end of May 2025. The country’s Special Drawing Rights increased to US$232.53 million relative to the US$229.61 million recorded a month prior.

‘IMF Reserve Position’ increased to US$37.58 million from the US$37.11 million reported last month. Liabilities to the IMF decreased by US$12.44 million to US$29.18 million against the US$41.62 million reported at the end of May 2025.

Presently, the country’s foreign exchange reserves are US$650.52 million, or 13% more than the US$5,185.08 million held by the BOJ at the end of June 2024. The current NIR supports approximately 48.57 weeks of goods imports and 30.46 weeks of goods and services imports.
