Unaudited financials for the first quarter ended December 31, 2025:
Barita Investments Limited (BIL) for the first quarter ended December 31, 2025, reported a 31% increase in Net Interest Income totaling $222.06 million compared to $169.18 million in the corresponding period last year.
- Fees and Commission Income for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, amounted to $1.03 billion (2024: $904.85 million).

Staff Costs decreased by 6% to close at $345.94 million (2024: $366.77 million), while Administration costs increased by 15% from $516.85 million in 2024 to $594.71 million for the three months. Also, Impairment/ Expected Credit Loss (ECL) amounted to $15.26 million (2024: 122.02 million), this represents a decrease of 87% year over year. As a result, Total Expenses for the first quarter amounted to $925.38 million, a 22% increase relative to $761.60 million reported in 2024.
Operating profit for the three months amounted to $254.35 million, a 63% decrease relative to $691.38 million reported in 2024.
Share of results of associated company totalled $0 a 100% decrease from the corresponding period last year. (2024: $15.98 million).
Profit Before Taxation for the first quarter ended December 31, 2025, amounted to $254.35 million, a 64% decrease relative to $707.36 million reported in 2024.
Taxation for the three months had a 69% decrease to reach $42.88 million (2024: $140.17 million). As such, Net Profit for the three months amounted to $211.47 million, a 62% decrease from the $551.21 million reported in 2024.
Consequently, Earnings Per Share for the three months amounted to $0.17 (2024: EPS: $0.45). The twelve-month trailing EPS was $2.19, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 1,220,388,243.
Notably, BIL’s stock price closed the trading period on February 13, 2026, at a price of $69.19 with a corresponding P/E ratio of 31.61x.
Balance Sheet Highlights
The company’s assets totaled $148.63 billion (2024: $139.60 billion). The movement in total assets was mainly due to a $5.41 billion increase in ‘Pledged Assets’ and a $4.43 billion increase in ‘Receivables’, while ‘Investment Securities’ declined by $4.24 billion to partly offset the movement.
Shareholder’s equity was $35.71 billion (2024: $35.45 billion), representing a book value per share of $29.26 (2024: $29.05).
