Berger Paints Jamaica Limited (BRG) has advised that in light of the closing on Monday, October 9, 2017 of the Offer made by ANSA COATINGS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (“the Offer”) to acquire 104,990,171 ordinary stock units in Berger Paints Jamaica Limited (“the Company”), being all the issued ordinary stock units of the Company not already held by the Offeror or the Offeror’s Affiliates, the Directors of the Company, requested that trading on the Exchange in the shares of the Company be suspended commencing the morning of Thursday, October 5, 2017 and ending at the close of the trading day on Friday, October 13, 2017 so as to facilitate the orderly process of the transaction in respect of the takeover of the Company by the Offeror pursuant to a mandatory offer set out in the Take-Over Bid dated August 31, 2017.

Trading will resume in the morning of Tuesday, October 17, 2017.
