Unaudited financials for the six months ended June 30, 2026:

Caribbean Cement Company Ltd (CCC) for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reported a 14% increase in revenues totalling $18.57 billion compared to $16.33 billion in the corresponding period last year. Revenues for the second quarter had a 15% increase to close at $9.31 billion compared to $8.13 billion for the comparable quarter of 2025.

Cost of sales amounted to $9.25 billion (2025: $11.00 billion), representing a decrease of 16% year over year. This significant improvement was driven by the absence of the major planned maintenance shutdown that weighed heavily on costs in the prior year period. Consequently, gross profit increased by 75% to $9.31 billion compared to $5.33 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2025, translating to a gross profit margin of 50.2% versus 32.7% in the prior year. The Company booked gross profit of $4.60 billion for the second quarter versus $1.55 billion reported for the comparable quarter of 2025.

Operating expenses increased by 3% to close at $1.70 billion (2025: $1.65 billion). As such, operating profit before other income and expenses increased by 107% from $3.69 billion in 2025 to $7.62 billion in the period under review.

Other expenses for the six months ended June 30, 2026, amounted to $657.27 million, a 14% increase relative to $575.08 million reported in 2025. This was partially offset by other income of $21.72 million (2025: $3.49 million).

Consequently, operating profit for the six months ended June 30, 2026, amounted to $6.98 billion, a 124% increase relative to $3.11 billion reported in 2025. Operating profit for the second quarter amounted to $3.45 billion (2025: $421.51 million). The Company noted that this record performance reflects stronger operating efficiency and a more favourable production environment compared with 2025, when it incurred substantial costs associated with its planned maintenance shutdown, including approximately $920 million in additional related expenditure and imported cement to maintain market supply.

Net finance income totalled $210.47 million, a 82% increase from the corresponding period last year (2025: $115.68 million).

Profit before taxation for the six months ended June 30, 2026, amounted to $7.13 billion, a 119% increase relative to $3.26 billion reported in 2025. Profit before taxation for the second quarter amounted to $3.59 billion (2025: $500.76 million).

Taxation charge for the six months ended June 30, 2026, increased by 92% to reach $1.38 billion (2025: $719.36 million), reflecting the significantly higher pre-tax profitability. As such, net profit for the six months amounted to $5.75 billion, a 126% increase from the $2.54 billion reported in 2025. For the second quarter, net profit was $2.70 billion (2025: $543.94 million).

Consequently, earnings per share for the six months amounted to $6.75 (2025: $2.98), while earnings per share for the quarter totalled $3.17 (2025: $0.64). The twelve-month trailing EPS was $10.72, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 851,136,591.
