MPC reports six months net loss of US$899,124

Unaudited financials for the six months ended June 30, 2025:

MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited (MPCCEL) for the six months ended June 30, 2025 reported a valuation loss on investment totaling US$839,830 (2024: US$ 1.33 million).

Interest from investments at fair value through profit and loss for the six months ended June 30, 2025 amounted to US$342, 244 (2024: nil) while Dividend income amounted to US$90,261 (2024: US$265,380), representing a decrease of 66% year over year. Consequently, total investment loss totalled US$ 407, 325 (2024: income of US$1.60 million).

Total Expenses for the six months had a 275% increase to reach US$491,799 (2024: US$131,079). The breakdown for total expenses is as follows:

  • Accountancy fees closed at US$8,000 (2024: US$8,100).
  • Administrative fees amounted to US$40,349 versus US$35,957 recorded in the corresponding quarter for 2024.
  • Advertising Costs decreased to US$6,308 (2024: US$7,985).
  • Directors’ fees increased to US$42,250 (2024: US$13,500)
  • Management fees amounted to US$308,552 (2024: nil)
  • Legal and professional fees increased to US$42,170 (2024: US$3,617).
  • Insurance expenses amounted to US$18,669 (2024: US$8,805).
  • Bank charges totalled US$3,422 (2024: US$2, 344).
  • Corporate fee increased to US$7,829 (2024: US$750).
  • Licenses fees totalled US$250 (2024: US$250).

 

Loss for the period amounted to US$899,124, a 161% decrease from the profit of US$1.47 million reported in 2024.

Consequently, Loss Per Share for the six months amounted to US$0.03 (2024: EPS: US$0.06). The twelve-month trailing LPS was US$0.11, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 26,944,861. Notably, MPCCEL’s stock price closed the trading period on August 13, 2025 at a price of $64.99.

Balance Sheet Highlights

The company’s assets totalled US$31.57 million (2024: US$31.82 million). The movement in total assets was primarily attributable to a 12957% increase in ‘Cash and cash equivalents’ amounting to US$5,463,623 (2024: US$41,846) offset by downward movement of ‘Investments -MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Fund LLC’ amounting to US$ 25. 67 million (2024: US$ 31.73 million)

 

Shareholder’s equity was US$1.00 (2024: US$1.00), representing a book value per share of US$0.00 (2024: US$0.00).
