Net International Reserves – September 2025

BOJ has reported that Jamaica’s Net International Reserves as at September 30, 2025, stood at US$6,195.48 million, reflecting an increase of US$44.03 million when compared to the US$6,151.46 million reported at the end of August 2025.

Foreign Assets totalled US$6,218.13 million, US$37.61 million more than the US$6,180.53 million reported in August 2025.

‘Currency & Deposits’ held by the BOJ as at September 30, 2025, totalled US$3,495.22 million, reflecting an increase of US$38.18 million compared to the US$3,457.04 million reported in August 2025.

‘Securities’ were valued at US$2,466.18 million; US$1.01 million less than the US$2,467.20 million reported at the end of August 2025. The country’s Special Drawing Rights increased to US$219.24 million relative to the US$218.86 million recorded a month prior.

‘IMF Reserve Position’ increased to US$37.50 million from the US$37.43 million reported last month. Liabilities to the IMF decreased by US$6.42 million to US$22.65 million against the US$29.07 million reported at the end of August 2025.

 

Presently, the country’s foreign exchange reserves are US$994.95 million, or 19.13% more than the US$5,200.53 million held by the BOJ at the end of September 2024. The current NIR supports approximately 51.27 weeks of goods imports and 32.01 weeks of goods and services imports.
