Dollar Debasement Frees EM Currencies From Treasuries’ Weight
US Treasuries and emerging-market currencies are diverging the most in more than four years as higher US yields fail to fuel the dollar’s strength like they once did.
A Bloomberg gauge of Treasuries is headed for a quarterly loss as investors sell longer-dated bonds amid concerns over the trajectory of US government debt.

German Economic Revival Gathers Pace as Business Optimism Jumps
Germany’s economy grew quicker than initially thought in the second quarter, while a top gauge of the business outlook hit its highest level since before the Iran war, further evidence that a long-awaited revival is under way.
Output rose 0.3% between April and June, up from a preliminary estimate showing 0.2% expansion, thanks to a strong performance by trade.

BOJ’s Price Gauge Stays Above 2% Amid Rate Hike Speculation
A Bank of Japan measure of underlying inflation remained above the central bank’s 2% target, supporting widespread expectations of a September rate hike.
The consumer-price gauge, which strips out fresh food and the effects of various government measures, rose by 2.3% in July from a year earlier on a 2025-base basis, the BOJ said Tuesday.
