US Small-Business Optimism Fell Slightly Before Trump Tax Bill
Sentiment among US small businesses fell slightly in June as owners continued to worry about taxes ahead of a major legislative win for the Trump administration.
The National Federation of Independent Business optimism index ticked down 0.2 point last month to 98.6, according to data out Tuesday.

German Exports Fall More Than Expected as US Shipments Sink
German exports sank more than anticipated in May as the value of shipments to the US plunged to their lowest level in more than three years amid President Donald Trump’s tariff threats.
Total exports declined 1.4% from the previous month, the statistics office said Tuesday.
Asia:
Japanese Bonds Fall as Political Risks to Nation’s Markets Mount
Japan’s super-long bonds extended their recent declines Tuesday, pushing the yield on 30-year securities toward a record high as political risks cast a greater shadow over the nation’s financial markets.
The yen traded around the weakest level against the dollar in two weeks, with uncertainty over US tariffs and an upper house election later this month adding to headwinds for the currency.
