US Manufacturing Output Stalls for the First Time This Year
US manufacturing production stalled in May after four months of gains, suggesting problems with supply chains disrupted by the Iran war and soaring costs may be starting to weigh on activity.
Factory output was little changed last month after an upwardly revised 0.7% advance in April, Federal Reserve data out Monday showed. The median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of economists called for a 0.3% advance.

Euro Area Is Seeing Ratings Increasingly Converge, Scope Says
The euro area is experiencing a phase of convergence across the spectrum of national credit scores despite wildly varying underlying dynamics, Scope Ratings said.
The shift toward an equilibrium with slightly higher aggregate borrowings reflects how countries once beset by the region’s sovereign crisis keep improving and other borrowers formerly considered safe show more deterioration, the company said in a report on Monday.

India Trade Gap Shrinks, Sees Hurdles Ease With US-Iran Deal
India’s trade deficit narrowed marginally in May, though it came in wider than forecast, as officials expressed hope that an interim US-Iran peace deal would improve the outlook.
