Unaudited financials for the nine months ended June 30, 2026:
Salada Foods Jamaica Limited (SALF) for the nine months ended June 30, 2026 reported a 12% increase in Revenue totalling $1.28 billion compared to $1.15 billion in the corresponding period last year. Revenue for the third quarter increased by 16% to $443.44 million compared to $381.93 million for the comparable quarter of 2025.
Cost of Sales amounted to $875.59 million (2025: $800.36 million), representing an increase of 9% year over year. Consequently, Gross Profit increased by 16% to $406.63 million compared to $349.47 million for the nine months ended June 30, 2025. Gross Profit for the third quarter amounted to $146.16 million, representing a 30% increase from $112.65 million reported for the corresponding quarter of 2025.
Other Operating Income increased by 11% to $1.37 million from $1.23 million in 2025. Selling and Promotional Expenses increased by 6% to $63.68 million from $60.30 million in the prior year, while Administrative Expenses decreased by 13% to $129.24 million from $148.07 million. As a result, total Administrative, Selling and Promotional Expenses amounted to $192.92 million, representing a 7% decrease relative to $208.37 million reported in 2025.
Operating Profit for the nine months ended June 30, 2026 amounted to $215.08 million, representing a 51% increase from $142.33 million reported in 2025. Operating Profit for the third quarter amounted to $87.35 million, compared to $35.15 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025. Management noted that the improvement was supported by disciplined cost management, improved overhead efficiency and the absence of one-off redundancy costs absorbed in the prior year.
Net Finance Income decreased by 45% to $9.60 million compared to $17.43 million in the prior year. Profit Before Taxation for the nine months ended June 30, 2026 amounted to $224.68 million, representing a 41% increase from $159.76 million reported in 2025. For the third quarter, Profit Before Taxation amounted to $91.03 million, compared to $41.33 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
Taxation increased by 41% to $56.17 million compared to $39.94 million in 2025. Consequently, Net Profit for the nine months amounted to $168.51 million, representing a 41% increase from $119.82 million in the prior year. For the third quarter, Net Profit amounted to $68.27 million, compared to $31.00 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
Total Comprehensive Income for the nine months amounted to $174.81 million, compared to $119.82 million in 2025. For the third quarter, Total Comprehensive Income amounted to $68.27 million, compared to $26.21 million in the prior year’s quarter.
Consequently, Earnings Per Share for the nine months amounted to $0.16 compared to $0.12 in 2025, while Earnings Per Share for the third quarter amounted to $0.07 compared to $0.03 for the corresponding quarter of 2025. The twelve-month trailing EPS was approximately $0.21, and the number of shares used in these calculations was 1,038,832,900.
Notably, SALF’s stock price closed the trading period on August 7, 2026 at $2.54. Using the twelve-month trailing EPS of approximately $0.21, this represents a P/E ratio of approximately 11.99x.
Balance Sheet Highlights
The company’s Total Assets amounted to $1.58 billion at June 30, 2026, representing a 9% increase from $1.45 billion in 2025. The increase was mainly driven by Cash and Cash Equivalents, which rose to $157.40 million from $68.94 million, as well as Property, Plant and Equipment, which increased to $181.67 million from $115.75 million. Investments also increased to $81.26 million from $74.72 million, while Inventories rose slightly to $530.84 million from $527.81 million.
Shareholders’ Equity increased to $1.25 billion from $1.15 billion in 2025, representing a book value per share of approximately $1.20 compared to $1.11 in the prior year.
