1834 Investments Limited (1834) has advised that on August 10, 2022, a Court-Ordered Meeting of shareholders was held to consider a Scheme of Arrangement (“Scheme”) between 1834 and its shareholders. The Scheme would allow for 1834 to be amalgamated with Radio Jamaica Limited, subject to the approval of its shareholders and the sanction of the Supreme Court. 1834 has further advised that at the Meeting, shareholders gave their resounding approval of the Scheme, with final results of the Meeting prepared by KPMG, the scrutineers, providing that 99.02% of shareholders present at the Meeting voted in favour of the Scheme, representing 99.85% of the votes cast on the resolution.
