Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited (SJ) has issued the following disclosure on the Acquisition of Sagicor Financial Corporation – Alignvest Acquisition II Corporation:
- The name of the ultimate parent shall change from Sagicor Financial Corporation to Sagicor Financial Company Limited and the latter shall be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
- The transaction involves the shares in SFC, the ultimate parent of Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited (SJ). Accordingly, we do not expect that there will be any changes to the structure of Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited as a consequence of this transaction.
- To the best of our knowledge, there is no intention at the current time for SFC to increase its shareholding in SJ
