Jamaica Broilers Group Limited (JBG) has advised that it has entered into an agreement to sell assets of the Best Dressed Chicken Processing Plant located in South Carolina, USA. JBG has further advised that these assets were previously purchased in September 2019 from Gentry’s Poultry Company, Inc. and were held through the Company’s subsidiary, The Best Dressed Chicken, Inc.
JBG has also advised that this asset sale transaction follows a strategic review of the Company’s U.S. Operations in light of sustained operational challenges and market conditions that have impacted performance in the broiler meat segment
