Scotia Group Jamaica Limited (SGJ) has announced that The Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited (“Scotiabank Jamaica”) and Sagicor Financial Corporation Limited (“Sagicor”) have mutually agreed to not proceed with the 20-year distribution agreement for insurance products and solutions in Jamaica. As a result, the sale of Scotia Jamaica Life Insurance Company will also not proceed.
